You can demonstrate your English Proficiency by fulfilling just 一个 of the following criteria:

• Attendance at a high school where English is the language of instruction. Submit a letter from the head master or registrar verifying that attendance of high school/college/university in a foreign country for a minimum of 3 years with English as the language of instruction for 所有 academic courses and submit transcripts showing attendance, with grades of C or better (or the equivalent) in all classes.
  
  
• U.S. 教育: Send official transcripts from all U.S. schools (high school/college/university) attended to the International Student Center showing completion of 一个 academic year of English (no ESL/ELD classes) with a grade of C or better in each English class. This only reflects courses taken in the U.S.; 不 include Intensive English 项目/ESL. 

• 托福考试: 45 iBT (internet based test). Send an official score report to Pasadena City College, ETS代码:4604. E-delivery 首选.

• Duolingo English Test: 最低分数 80. Send an official score report to Pasadena City College. E-delivery 首选.
  
  Score reports must be 不到 两岁.
  
  E-transcripts are accepted from U.S. high schools, colleges and universities. Request transcripts to be emailed to the International Student Center at iso@wxzjnt.com.

You can also demonstrate your English proficiency by submitting a certificate of completion from 一个 of the following English language schools:

• USC International Academy: 5级
• Proof of completion of the highest level of ESL classes in a language school in the U.S.: Submit a copy of the certificate from the current language school to verify completion of the highest level of ESL classes.

Exemptions to the English Proficiency Requirement

Students who have graduated with a diploma/degree from secondary or postsecondary school (college/university) from the following countries are exempt from providing proof of English proficiency:

Citizenship in these countries al一个 will not exempt you from the English proficiency 要求. Exemption is based on whether you completed your schooling in that country 或不.

If your country has more than 一个 official language listed (other than English), PCC will require that you show proof of English proficiency.

The exemption for showing proof of English 不 imply exemption from completing the English/ESL Guided Self-Placement required for all new PCC students.
