Eligibility to Receive Services
Any student with a verified disability who wishes to seek services in DSP&S is eligible. DSP&S is a voluntary program that students choose to utilize at the college. Although DSP&S is not required, applying and using DSP&S accommodations may increase your ability to be successful in your classes.
Verifying Documentation
To be eligible for DSP&S services, you must have recent verifying documentation. This could be:
- An Individual Education Program (IEP)
- Section 504 Plan
- Assessment reports from your Regional Center or Department of Rehabilitation
- A letter on letterhead from a physician or medical specialist, psychiatrist, psychologist, speech-language pathologist, or an audiologist or an audiogram
